“Heliomagiremata” at Estia with Alexandros Papandreou to benefit mentally challenged children

On Saturday, June 24, at 20:30, we will be ready to welcome you at Estia for “Heliomagiremata” (Sun-kissed Cooking). Bring your friends along to our cozy, inviting courtyard and taste unique flavors created by Chef Alexandros Papandreou and his team….

Alexandros has created a special menu just for this night, using the select products prepared by the children of Estia. Participation fee per person: 25 euros.

Proceeds will be donated to Estia to support its work with and care for mentally challenged children.

Estia and its work

Estia was founded in 1982 by parents and friends of mentally challenged individuals. Located in Neo Psyhiko, Estia is licensed by and operates under the supervision of the Ministries of Health, Education, Labor, and Social Security and Welfare. Estia provides care and lifelong support services for people with mental disabilities.

It has been certified as a Day Care Centre for people with mild and moderate mental disability, 15 years of age and over. In 1998, it was certified as a Specialized Centre for Vocational Training. Since then, Estia has been implementing integrated programs.

Estia carries a license for the establishment and operation of Assisted Living Homes. Moreover, Estia specializes in and is proactive in the following sectors: the community, family support, research and science, and labor support actions.
